How to take part
There are many ways you can get involved in Trevithick Day. Several of them have applications forms, and deadlines, so please use those to express your interest.
Stallholders, food providers and charities
Traders are invited to apply for a space along one of the streets that we use on Trevithick Day. We welcome applications from regular stallholders, and new ones, and favour those with a local connection. We will choose and place stalls carefully to spread out similar ones, and ensure that everyone gets fair access to the public.
Charges
Minimum size of stalls – 3m frontage – maximum depth 3m
- Charities / Voluntary Organisations - £35 per 3m
- Commercial Businesses - £65 per 3m
- Street Food Caterers Only - no Trailers
£110 per 3m - by arrangement with stall co-ordinator
(no confectionery to be sold on hot food units)
NO – Vapes/ Vape Liquid/ B.B. Guns/B.B. Type guns/Chinese Lanterns to be sold at this event
Please avoid Plastic Packaging wherever possible, especially Single Use Plastic
PLEASE TAKE ANY LITTER WITH YOU AND MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN UP YOUR SITE
- Public Liability Insurance must be sent with each booking form
- Gas certificates/Electrical certificates and risk assessment, if applicable, must also be sent at the time of booking
- Any electrical cables to be covered with appropriate safety matting
- Stalls must remain in place, and staffed, until 5pm
- The organisers may keep your contact details for future reference
There is no closing date on this application but preference will be given for trading positions to those traders who book before end of February.
Pitches not occupied by 8 a.m. on event day will be re-let. No refunds will be given.

Perform on one of the stages / performance areas
Are you an entertainer?
We pride ourselves on providing a diverse and exciting range of performances to entertain the crowds and we are interested in a range of acts.
- We are looking for expressions of interest from schools and children's groups who would like to perform at Trevithick Day.
- We are particularly looking for children's entertainers interested in performing for the many families who visit Trevithick Day.
- We are also keen to hear from groups and acts who have performed in previous years, as well as new performers.

Steam engines and vintage vehicles
Steam engines, whether full size, miniature or stationary, form a key part of our event, much loved by all. We also have a significant, and growing display of vintage vehicles of all types, including cars, commercial vehicles and tractors.
If you own one of these types of vehicle, and would like to be part of our day, please download the right application form, below, and return it.

Dancers
Adult dancers with a connection to Camborne are invited to apply by email to Malcolm Godolphin on mrg2cbb2@gmail.com, by 2 weeks before the event.
Spaces are limited, and we can only accept a few new dancers each year, as most of the spaces are taken by those who have dances in previous years.
There are two practice evenings, before the event, so you can (re-)learn the steps, and be issued with your Cornish Tartan sash or tie. The rest of your costume must be provided yourself.
Children participate in the Children's Dance by invitation through the schools which take part. This is not managed by Trevithick Day organisers, but through the schools.
Schools and clubs display
The local primary schools are invited each year to be part of a display on their work. This is done direct through the schools, and if your school is part of it, then that will be happening already.
Since 2026, We have invited non-school groups of children and young people to take part in this competition as well, appropriately by age group. If you are interested in being part of this, please email cambornetrevithickevents@gmail.com, and explain who your group is.
